This documentary film explores the life and relationship between Britt-Marie and her daughter Jenny. The film highlights their unique lifestyles and differences while examining themes of femininity and independence.

Despite their different lives, they share a deep connection to the forest, a place that offers both
recreation and demands heavy physical labor with chainsaws, wood splitting, and film shoots in
challenging environments.

The film explores their mutual effort to avoid stereotypical maternal roles and reflects on the meaning of being strong and independent as a woman. Through dialogues between mother and daughter, the viewer also experiences a symphony of everyday sounds, from birdsong to the noise of chainsaws and punk music in the car.
The contrasts between the lyrically beautiful and the raw punk are woven into the narrative, where the forest, punk, chainsaws, and dance create tempo changes and a dynamic story that moves between slow reflection and intense, passionate moments. Me and My Mother the Lumberjack; is an emotional journey through the lives of women and their constant pursuit of independence and meaningfulness.
